The research lines of the Medusozoa lab are Systematics, Evolution and Phylogeny of Medusozoa, Ecology and Life Cycles of Medusozoa. The lab is located in São Paulo City (SP, Brazil), at the Universidade de São Paulo (a public State University), more specifically in the Instituto de Biociências, Departamento de Zoologia. Field studies are conducted at the CEBIMar (USP), located in São Sebastião (São Paulo State Coast), a beautiful place to visit and work.
Facilities of the lab and of the Institute de Biociências include computers, optical equipment, aquaria and "planktonkreisel", histology and molecular labs, access to the cnidarian collection of the MZUSP, computer cluster for phylogenetic analyses, and sequencing facilities.
