School participants will be lodged at Ilha Flat Hotel and all school activities will take place in the premises. The hotel is located in Ilhabela ("The Beautiful Island"), about 200 km from the city of São Paulo. One of Brazil's premier beach resorts, Ilhabela is an archipelago whose main island (São Sebastião) is home to the State Park of Ilhabela, well known for its lofty mountains (the highest point is São Sebastião's peak, 1,379 m above sea level) covered with pristine tropical forest that abut the turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean. With 29 beaches, 17 trails and numerous waterfalls, Ilhabela is perfect for people interested in outdoor activities and it is a prime destination for divers, fishers, hikers, climbers, bird watchers and those into water sports such as surfing, kite surfing and sailing. Ilhabela sits right across University of São Paulo's (USP) Center for Marine Biology (CEBIMar), which will be visited by the participants as part of the scheduled activities.
